wohooo first day of school went really well. all my teachers seem really nice except one for science who is pretty much exactly like mrs.leon. this is pretty much how it all went down.

WILDRIVERS!

ok so yesterday Matt marsh, Jenna pastorelli, Natalie ginder and I went to wild rivers. it was amazingly fun. our adventure started off with the lazy river where we met Jason. a life guard that believed that Matt marsh and Natalie were siblings from England. he was intrigued by natalie and matts accent (which was fake). everytime we would come around his place at the lazy river he would speak to us, and everytime we would leave he would get dissapointed and would beg us to come back. we pretty much almost got him fired twice. i really think he had a thing for natalie too bad she was only going to be in america for one more week.

later in the wave pool me and natalie spotted a hunkman lifeguard. we was amazing so we were talking to one of her cheer friends who we saw there with another girl and we told her about this amazing lifeguard.

natalie: we are boy scouting and that life guard over there is fiiine
cheer friend: umm thats her sister(points to girl next to her)
natalie:(falls to ground laughing and embarassed at the same time)
martha: what are the chances?

again at the lazy river there were some pretty interesting kids, one claimed to be in 8th grade and the others in 5th and 6th. we sang to them, they were startled by our horrible voices and they didnt want to hear our singing any more. so the 8th grade one sang a duet with the 6th grade one, it wasnt good either.

after a couple of rides and a few more trips around the lazy river we got tired and went home.

overall are trip was a success. :)

reflex massages

my aunt (the one who lives in the mountains) took special classes on how to preform reflex massages. the massage is done at the foot and different parts of your foot represent different parts of the body. example: on right foot the two smallest toes represent the ears, she massages that but super hard and with a special technique. if someone were to have an ear infection or some kind of ear problem they would feel extremely sharp pains in those two toes. she did the massage on my mom and my sister and they cried of the pain when she did the area of the foot connected to the knees and neck. i peed my pants as i watched their reactions. they just stared at me and said just wait till she gets to you. so it was then my turn i sit down scared that its really going to hurt badly. IT DIDNT!!! according to the results i have no knots in my back, no problems in my ears nothing on my arms, legs, knees, fingers, neck, NOTHING!!! and i am a very relaxed person. the massage which was supposed to reveal pain actually felt good :)

Oh JEEZ Colombia has been amazing! part of me wants to stay and the other wants to leave. ( i know it sounds cheesy) oh how i will miss not seeing all of my amazing cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandma. you dont understand how much im gonna miss Colombia. butt.............................................. I CANT WAIT TO BE HOME!!! i cant wait to see all my dear friends and my father, and i cant wait to go to the beach, and i cant wait to go kayaking at the mission viejo lake, and i cant wait to go to bonfires on the beach, and i cant wait to learn how to surf, and icant wait to go to wildrivers, and i cant wait to have the first starbucks drink in two months ( probably the longest ive gone without startbucks) and i cant wait to see chalito my parrot, and i cant wait to go to the pool and see izzy and her family there like everyday last summer. ooo home sweet home ill be there soon!

ok so i havent really been blogging lately cas ive been to lazy. i havent really been in the mood to right about the colombian festival of flowers, but basically its a series of parties in the streets and parades and good food that happens over two week. i really dont know the true names of each but i made up my own, hunkmen on parade, drunk people on horseback, all hippie buses unite, classic cars parade, and then there was this place we went to on one day and it was just pure colombian food everywhere and for 10,000 pesos (five bucks) you eat all you can for the whole day. these are traditions followed by the normal Colombian family everyday.

so in my previous post i mentioned a river. this river is behind my cousins school, the river kind of fades and turns into more of a creek. me my two cousins and the kindergarden class went down to the creek for an adventure. it was so fun, we hiked and we climbed rocks and got wet under the mini waterfalls. it was absolutely beautiful down there. as i was climbing one of the rocks i sliped and fell on my stomach i now have a huge bruise. oh well it was worth it.

i was at my cousins school and there is a cow breeding place right by it. 6 crazy cows ran onto the campus and started chasing everyone when they were out at lunch. i almost got ran over. the cows went down to the river and one drowned, everyone had to go on lock down til they catured the five that were still alive. theres something that would never happen at our school. so my dad thought that we had to turn my vacation to colombia into an education experience so he set us up on a tour of all 8 museums in medellin(city im staying in) what a waste of a day. instead of going and having fun i have to walk through 8 culture museums. summer is a break from studying and learning but no not for me.

ok so i havent blogged in a long time cas internet was broken becuase it was raining for like a week straight. but pretty much what i did was go to theme park called tu tu can, and shopping, and celebrate cousins birthday, and i saw harry potter, and i went to this plaza that had like 500 fruits that i had never heard of and i tried each one and they were delicous and so i wanted to bring back the seed so i could plant it and have them to eat forever but then my mom told me that seeds arent allowed back into the u.s. that was a downer on my day. oh and on two days that there was nothing to do i watched three whole season of friends, man i love that show.

aunts house

ok so my aunt has her own little independent nature loving hidden in the mountains lifestyle. she wanted us to go visit her so we did. this is how our journey began. drive for 1 hour to the mountains, 318 stairs that led up to just bushes, push through all those bushes for like 2 miles, then finally her house. im not kidding. the most technology she had in her house was an ice maker. no fridge she used ice from the icemaker to cool down her food, no oven she cooked over a fire pit, she had an outhouse, and she slept in a hammock. she makes all her clothes with these super cool wooden machines which she built they consisted of strings and levers and all this stuff, her house was soo cool. it was just simple it showed you didnt need a whole bunch of luxuries and crap to live well. so next week im going back to her house and im gonna stay for like 2 days and shes going to teach me how to make a hammock and bracelets and ill start making clothing but its impossible to finish in two days. its gonna rock!!

hide and go seek

ok so yesterday me my sister, and four of my cousins played an intense game of hide and go seek. its played a bit differently here in colombia though but for the most part its the same thing. anyways it was hardcore everyone got soo into it. we played throughout the whole apartment building. my cousins simon got so into it that just so i wouldnt tag him he jumped from the second story to the first, he almost broke his foot just over a game of hide and go seek. andyways we were all super sweaty and all super tired so we went inside and watched a movie. that game of hide and go seek made me feel like i was 5 again.

k so yesterday i was looking at maddie`s myspace and then i decided to look at her pictures and then i saw one of me and her and i wanted to view the comments and jessie garcia wrote. aww i miss martha. and then i thought to myself aww i miss you too. and then i was like i miss everyone. and i got all teary eyed and my mom got all pissed and was like oo stop being stupid youll see them when you get back and i know ill see everyone when i get back its just im here a million countries away for a whole nother month and once i get back im only gonna have like 7 days to hangout with everyone. and i miss my dear friendsitas. :(

stupid title thing is working but right now im going to go back in time a couple of days and tell you what happened to me on my cousins finca (small farm ranch like vacation home.) ok so it was super hot and i felt sweaty and gross and i was in great need of a shower. my mom told me to wait a bit becuase there was a limited suply of water and the tank wasnt filled up al the way. she said that in worst case scenario there wouldnt be enough water to complete my shower. i refused to listen for i felt like a muddy disguisting pig. i hopped in the shower(litteraly) and put shampoo in mu hair when suddenly boom no more water. i could not believe it. how unlucky was i couldnt it have happened before i shamppoed or after or something no i was covered in soap and shampo with no water to rinse. frmo outside my aunt said that i would have to wait for the tank to fill up which would take about 30 minutes so i was like whatever ill wait. 30 minutes later i was still standing in the shower freezing my butt of and no water. soo this what i had to do. my madresita had to bring in buckets of freezing cold water seriously like ice, and i had to pour it on me. by the time i got out of the shower i was freezing cold goose bumps from head to toe and i got dressed and went outside and everyone was laughing at me. i thought they were just laughing at the huge effort i had to make just to shower but today lets say about 6 days later i found out they purposely used all the water from the tank so i would be stuck there. it was all my cousin simon`s idea. i hate simon :)

mimo`s delivers¿¿

ok so today i had a sudden craving for ice cream from a place called mimo`s . let me tell you about this wonderful place, it beats any coldstone, baskin robins, golden spoon, or ben and jerry`s youve ever had. the U.S is a shame to ice cream compared to mimo`s. mhmmm i wanted it so bad the problem though was that no one was home except one of my cousins who doesnt drive, i was going to be stuck at home with no mimo`s i thought i would die. suddenly i said to my ice creamless self, " if only mimo`s could be delivered here," and guess what i found out later my friend¿¿ IT CAN!!!! THANK YOU JESUS. martha was going to get mimo`s without having to get off of her super comfy hammock. once the mimo`s man came i could not thank him enough he was my life savor. my delicous mimo`s ice cream made it through the long journey here without melting. I LOVE MIMO`S!!!

happy fourth of july everyone!!!! too bad its not celebrated here in the great depths of colombia. i am missing out on a lot, the scrumptious hamburgers, the colorful fireworks that i view from the the lakeforest community pool, seeing mrs.gottstein dance at the lakeforest fourth of july party, seeing mr.brown on the velcro wall at the mission viejo fourth of july party. im missing out on the funnest summer holiday, these darn colombians show no excitement towards the independence of the U.S.

as soon as i step back into the U.S my father is going to bite my head off i know you wonder why, let me explain to you. my dad´s super old uncle was not doing too well he knew that he was in his last few days, my dad asked me to go meet him before he died and so i was going to go yesterday but i didnt want to, instead i stayed home and watched OC reruns all day long, my dad called me today and was like i really want you to go visit him and i was like ok fine i will tommorow, so i called my uncles house expecting to speak to my uncle and his daughter answered in a depressed teary voice. confused i was like hi can i speak to my uncle and she was like (weep weep) he died last night. i was like WHAT¿!¿!¿!¿!¿¿!¿!¿!¿!¿ so i called my dad back and he was super super super ticked off not to mention sad. i feel terrible the one thing my dad really wanted me to do and now i cant. good thing i brought my black dress because now im being forced to attend a funeral the one thing i have always dreaded. i have gone to one funeral and it was horrible i hardly knew the person and i was bawling my eyes out becuase just the thought of someone dying makes me sad no matter who it is. RIP MY FATHERS UNCLE <3

ok so so far ive gone horse back riding, gone shopping, met long lost cousins, got atttacked by a duck, and met one of my uncles friends who gets manicures. i know its weird, i asked him the reason behind getting manicures and he said that his biggest pet peeve is an unsanitary hand. every week he goes to the nail salon and he gets his nails painted clear so they look nice and glossy. oh and i guess the newest style here is le mullet.

i have just returned from my trip to the mission viejo lake (mvl) i have to say that was the biggest waste of 4 hours. the water was unpleasant, and there were annoying immature people everywhere. i tried getting something out of going so my plan was to lay out and get rid of my foot tan, and my old bathing suit tan but of course that didnt work. instead, two kids that seemed to be about 4 and 5 thought i was someone else so they poured water all over me. they started crackin up and as soon as they found out that i wasnt who they thought i was they ran away. lets just say YOU DONT DO THAT!

last night was pretty much amazing. it started off with some munchies and the viewing of our play, hot shelled nuts. after watching melissa and erin welcome do the hustle we all got inspired to dance. we put on a very old tape that taught us some insane dance moves. i have to say i have discovered a new talent that i never knew i had. the arrival of fron danya and brianna came just as i had to leave which sucked but i would not let it ruin my night.

I really do not agree with this name but whatever. Tomorrow we are performing our wonderful play Hot Shelled Nuts. It is going to be absolutely phenomenal because it has the most amazing cast ever. Four hours of performing on stage and messing around back stage is going to be absolutely indescribable. Drama for the two trimesters i had it was an amazing experience the fact that for a whole period everyday i got to be with awesome people, and have fun just makes me want to love life and never stop. Im going to miss this class forever because i know that no other class that i ever take could beat this one.

I seriously can not believe that this year is practically over. It doesn't feel like in a matter of days i will be out of 8th grade and in high school. I'm also incredibly sad because many of my friends are going to Trabuco and not Mission. It sucks! But anyways I'm so excited for tomorrow, our yearbooks are making an arrival and then Friday is Knott's. Oh how incredibly fun it is going to be.
